Even from her childhood days Jennifer Love Hewitt was always attracted to music, thus leading to her first encounters via the entertainment industry. When she was just three years old she sang at a livestock display "The Greatest Love of All". The following year, she entertained at a restaurant dance hall with her version of "Help me make it through the night". When she turned five, Jennifer Love Hewitt already had ballet and tap dancing in her portfolio. By the time she turned nine, she had became a member of the Texas Show Team.

Jennifer soon moved to Los Angeles, California at the age of ten with her mother to pursue a career in both singing and acting. Hewitt attended Lincoln High School in Los Angeles where her many classmates including Jonathan Neville recommended her for her "Party of Five" film role. Hewitt was born in Waco of the state of Texas and was the daughter of Daniel Hewitt a medical technician and Patricia Mae a speech language pathologist. Jennifer relatively grew up in Molanville, Texas, and soon after her parents divorced, she and her brother Todd were brought up by their mother.

The actress has dated John Mayer, professional kayaker Brad Ludden, and Carson Daly. She was engaged to Ross McCall a Scottish actor in November of 2007 whom she had met when she appeared on the popular series "Ghost Whisperer".; however the engagement was called off on January 5th, 2009 as reported by "People" magazine. Later on, Hewitt started to personally get involved with Jamie Kennedy (her co-star) in March 2009. Even though it was reported that they were both engaged in 21st, July, 2009, the couple indicated that this did not happen, and by March 2010, the couple called off the relation.

To date, Paparazzi pictures were taken of Jennifer in a bikini while she was on her Hawaii vacation. This in turn led to bashful criticisms on her body by many bloggers. Jennifer responded: "I've sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women's bodies are constantly scrutinized...What I should be doing is celebrating some of the best days of my life and my engagement to the man of my dreams, instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles."

Ten weeks later, she said on "US Weekly" cover having lost 18 pounds. Furthermore, Hewitt indicated that she lost the extra weight to regain some of the lost energy, implying that it was not because of the many critical comments she had received. Jennifer later defended Jessica Simpson's similar criticism by saying, "It gets silly. We're all supposed to look how we're supposed to look. We're made to be different people."

Appeared in March 2010, Jennifer Love Hewitt released a book entitled "The Day I shot Cupid" wherein she speaks of her dating and love experiences. Including in one particular chapter, she stresses about "vajazzling" (decorating her vagina with the help of Swarovski crystals). This term soon became popular term and a great internet sensation with the going video "viral".
