Heidi Klum is a German-American model, actress, television host, fashion designer and television producer and an occasional singer. She was born as Heidi Samuel to Günther and Erna on 1st June 1973. She enrolled in a fashion contest in 1992 called "Model 92" and won a modeling contract worth of US$300,000 by Metropolitan Models New York. She appeared on the covers of various magazines thereafter like the "Vogue", "ELLE" and "Marie Claire" and the "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue". She also has hosted the Victoria Secrets fashion shows in 2002, 2006, 2007 and 2009. She was also the spokesmodel for McDonald's, "Braun", "Dannon", "H & M", and "Liz Claiborne". She is also the celebrity spokesmodel for "Jordache" and "Volkswagen".
She eventually ventured into the television arena and appeared in number of popular shows like "Spin City", "Sex and the City", "Yes, Dear", and "How I Met Your Mother". She appeared in few movies as well like "Ella Enchanted", "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers" and "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Perfect Stranger".
Heidi in 2003 agreed to go platinum blonde in an exclusive for Elle magazine, featuring salon and beach photo shoots. She also featured in video games and music albums. She is also one of the designers of the Victoria's Secret lingerie line "The Body". In 2009 Forbes magazine has estimated her worth to be about $16 million dollars.
